Car hire
Renting a car is a great option for exploring Cape Town and its surrounds. All main car rental companies operate out of Cape Town International Airport and have city depots. If you don’t carry a South African driver’s licence, we advise that you contact your local travel agent or car rental company of choice directly and confirm whether your driver’s licence suffices or if you need an international driving permit.
Cab or taxi
There are a large number of metered taxis available. It’s easy to find one near major attractions or at the airport. You can also take an Uber, using the same app as you would anywhere in the world.
Bus
Cape Town’s MyCiti bus service is another convenient way of getting around. Visit the MyCiti website for route options.
If you are planning to do some sightseeing (by bus or boat), you might want to consider one of the various routes of Cape Town’s Hop on-Hop off Bus.
Airport Transfer
You can book your airport transfer through our tour operator Quality Touring Services (QTS).
