Performance
Nkolomonyi Prosopopée (catered dby Centre d’Art Waza), The project is based on recent studies carried out on a work of Songye art held at the MAS / Museum aan de Stroom in Antwerp, which is the statue (nkishi) of Chief Nkolomonyi, a Songye resistance fighter who was beheaded by the colonial administration. This sculpture is currently the subject of an in-depth provenance search in both Belgium and the Congo, and its illicit origin is tending to be proven. Artists Lambick Meli
and Rita Mukebo (30 minutes).
